Tough Trucks!
Today Drew and I went to a fun thing called, "Touch a Truck" at our Rec Center. We went around a loop of awesome huge trucks and tractors and Drew was amazed. He checked out everything including the tires, bumpers, steering wheels, scoops & diggers. There were firetrucks, ambulances, big rigs, trailers, tractors, school buses, bucket trucks, loaders of all kinds, moving trucks, and even a helicopter! The kids had freedom to do whatever they want and kids were running wild! When we got to the tractor he was super cute in his little "tractor pull" shirt and a photographer asked if she could take his photo sitting in it! It made me proud that he can stand out in a crowd just for being himself and loving tractors :)

Loving Airplanes!
Drew has been saying "airplane" for awhile now, or should I say "airPLANE" :) He can spot them before the rest of us can and is so proud to point out the tiniest stream of clouds leading to the airplane flying by. His love for airplanes is the first thing that I have seen him independently love. I feel like other things he likes is because we talk about it all the time because it is a "boy thing" like trucks etc. or stuffed animals we have picked out for him, or books etc. But airplanes was all Drew. I barely even taught him the word before he was shouting it on his own. He started making the noise for it soon after he learned the word. Then next thing I know we are in the grocery store a couple weeks ago and he is moving his hand up and down and all around as we moved down the aisle making the noise. I asked him what he was doing and he clearly said, "Airplane" like I was silly for asking (video is second time I asked and he says it a little less clear). Of course as soon as I showed him how to "be" an airplane with both hands out he immediately picked up loving flying around the room. I mean I expect big kids to do this type of thing, but when you see such a little guy being an airplane it is just too cute. I just think, wow he must really love airplanes! This weekend his Nana and Pops took us to the Air Show in Dayton and he was so excited on the way there talking about his airplanes the whole way. The actual airplanes were much scarier and louder than he anticipated and he ended up crying and shaking. I felt so bad like we might have taken away his favorite thing! I was afraid we had traumatized him, but he quickly recovered after talking about being "sad sad" a couple time he then remembered the ones by our house our much quieter and farther away :) If he becomes a pilot someday we will know his love started at age 1!
